Beginners |
Morzine is a fantastic resort in which to learn to ski with its gentle nursery slopes at Le Pleney and the excellent English speaking French ski-school. There are also plenty of starter slopes at both Avoriaz and Les Gets. |
Intermediates |
Intermediate skiers should buy a Portes du Soleil lift pass, to get full advantage of the 140 possible runs across the resorts. Amazing variety of open bowl and tree lined pistes to challenge all levels. |
Advanced |
Expert skiers will relish the challenge of all that is on offer in the Portes du Soleil area. With a total of 13 resorts to visit, it is possible to virtually never ski the same run twice. Off-piste enthusiasts will enjoy the Chamoissiere Valley, while mogul fiends need look no further than the infamous "Swiss Wall". |

A guide to lift pass prices - adults £85-£110 per 6 day pass, dependent on area covered. These can be bought at the main lift stations or at the tourist office in the town centre.
An arrangement exists with Michel Gravier in Morzine for all equipment including skis, boots, boards etc and should be booked in advance to avoid problems. This is a family business with English speakers on the staff.
